need to go to beijing from 1-12 dec 2008 ...
i was so worried -would my milk supply stop (afterall it's demand n supply), where and when and how to express, should i bring the milk back, would caleb have enough milk to drink when i am away, can daddy take care of him ... etc
worries aside, i came back and everyone survived! =)
I tried to express whenever possible. i did not bring back the milk as it's too troublesome ... funny thing is, even though i tried not to drink too much water, and i didn pump as often, my supply increased which i dunno why ...
how did i manage?
before boarding - expressed in the comfort of T3 nursing room
before breakfast was served - pumped in the SIA plane toilet ... still not too smelly ...
after checking out from airport - wanted to express in the comfort of BCIA T3 nursing room but it was locked so i had to do it in the toilet ... i am surprised that the toilet is soo clean
reached office - no choice, had to do it in the toilet ... found a toilet with a chair (used by the cleaner - i reckon that's where she will take her rest) BUT there is a window near the toilet. Being winter, it's cold to be sitting in that cubicle expressing milk ... during the afternoon shift, i expressed in that cubicle again, but this time, i brought my scarf along ... and when washing bottles, i make sure my hands dun touch the tap water - it's super cold ...
knocked off - reached hotel, expressed again .... before i go to sleep, expressed on more time ... and sleep till the next day .... about 5am plus, i would be awake... so expressed again and before i left for my breakfast, i would do it again ...
day 2 in office ... used cubicle 1 again. but this time, there was a kaypo cleaner, who despite seeing me in the cub, still opened the door to get her stuff (yea, it's weird. ... )
day 3 in office ... decided to use the other cubicle (cub 2) and bring in the chair from cub 1 to cub 2 ... cub 2 is a toilet with squat bowl ... so imagine, me hugging my bag, the pumps and trying not to fall into the toilet bowl ... i was kind enough to return the chair after each session ... BUT ...
day 4 in office ... the chair went missing!!! it disappeared on day 4 and 5 ... so, no choice, i got to do it standing up ... actually, it's better .... i just hang my bag on the hook on the door and just do it ... ha ha ha
day 5 ... did it one last time at the office toilet ... and then at the nursing room at bcia .... and did one more time on board the plane ... before landing in singapore
hmmm i survived the challenge!
EBM Adventure ...
Caleb @ 5 months
I missed bringing him to the PD this time as I was working in Beijing... but from what I understood, he did not cry a lot or really loud this time ...
weight and height wise, I am not too sure coz daddy kwee told me he weighs 7.5kg BUT now that I checked back to this blog, 7.5kg was his weight when he was 4 mths old .... *DUH*
Caleb has now learnt to do flip-overs ... he can flip from left to right, right to left ...
Caleb has got two new toys - a mickey mouse and a play gym from IKEA ...
Mickey Mouse - while waiting for me at the airport, my mum and cousin showed him some toys and they said that he was laughing loudly when MM was shown to him... tests on subsequent ocasion shows that he likes MM ... so, we bought a MM for him ...
Play Gym ... mummy was attracted to the colourful playgym while shopping @ IKEA ... we brought him towards the toy and he was excited ... so, we got that for him and yes. it's a good toy to get for him as that kept him entertained for hours...
next toy we are getting - jumperoo ... but it is super expensive - $299. with a bit of discount, it's $239 ... and we just missed the warehouse sale ....
Food
PD said we can start letting him try some of the semi-solid food .... so far, we had let him tried mashed potato (without gravy) ... still thinking when I should stop my breastmilk ... but he doesn't seem ready to move on and also, what kind of milk powder should I give him?
Sleep
He needs the yao lan to rock him to sleep or get him drowsy ... so I am wondering how to get him to sleep without the yao lan when we go overseas ...
He still wakes up at night ... :(
Some days (esp on weekends), he will be awake at 6 plus ... entertained himself for a while before making noise to wake us up ...

Caleb @ 4 months ...
baby caleb is now 4 mth old ... weighs abt 7.5kg and is 68cm tall... :P
we brought him for his jab and to our surprise, he didn't cry ... coz the doc was so fast ... so fast till the extent that we wondered if doc did inject him ... ha ha ...
unfortunately, caleb was feeling uncomfortable for a few days - he felt warm but there's no fever ...
as the days progress, caleb has discovered his toes ... yea - he would bring his little foot and play with it ....
also, he likes to sit at the dining table when papa and mama are having their breakfast/dinner/lunch ... and he would pick the right timing! each time as we were to tuck in to our main course, he would make noise to show that he wants to be carried .. ha ha
on his sleep pattern - he needs motion to help him to sleep at night ... it will be the yao lan, sometimes it will be his little chair - each nite, we would have to try the various method to get him to sleep ...
also, he likes sitting at the piano with me ... tinkering away ... some times he would sing along too ... ha ha ...
Random tots about caleb
where did my smiley angel go to? nowadays, he is quite grouchy ... doesn't smile that readily ... what is wrong? not enough sleep?
he is also not drinking as much - sometimes one oz, sometimes 2.5, sometimes 3 ... haiz.....
just days before he turned 3 mths, we brought him for his 5-in-1 jab ... he was happily talking to the doctor before letting out a loud wail ... haha ... the entire day, he was feeling tired ... my mum says that he didn even dare move his legs ... poor darling ....
at night time, he was crying badly in the car. he only stopped after the car started to move ... also, his temp was around 37.3 ... being kia see, i fed him some fever medicine before putting him to sleep .. i think he slept well that night ...
Caleb is 3 months old
yep, baby caleb is 3 mths old... he is now 62cm tall and weighs 6.9kg...
his favourite activity now - eating his fists, grabbing his shirt and putting it into his mouth ... he is trying to turn over to the right side ...
his favourite person now is daddy - only daddy can calm him when he is very agitated ...
he needs to start sleep training ... we realised that every evening, around 8-tish, he would start getting really grouchy and unhappy ... if left unattended, it will escalate into a full blown crying session .... so, we decided to start him on a sleep routine as soon as possible ...
today, i tried to get him to nap at 930am & 130pm ... after being awake for an hour to two ... and also, he is beginning to turn grouchy ...i hope to get him into bed before he turns grouchy tonite ... it is really energy consuming to calm him ...
Caleb's favourite person
Baby Caleb has been grouchy the entire week .... based on the info that i gathered from my mum and from the days that I had to take care of him...
Just last weekend, he was such a sweet baby - smiling and talking to me and has no problem falling a sleep ...
this week, we noticed that he cries more and sleeps on a less frequent routine ...
on thursday nite, he cried till his head shaked and almost lost his voice ... no amount of hugs, carrying, walking around the house helps ... i carried him and stood in front of the divine mercy pic at home ... he stopped crying for a while but resumed again ... told myself to keep my cool (yea, coz daddy is attending his RCIA)... in the end, i put him in his sarong and he fell a sleep ... phew ... it has been a long time since he cried so badly ...
friday nite, we wanted to go out with friends to chk out some bridal stuff and so, xp, sk and me drove to clementi ... along the way, baby caleb just cried all the way ... sweat for my friend who has to sit behind to look after him ... he was alright after she carried him out of the car and daddy took over ...
saturday afternoon, he also cried like mad ... and i am unable to console him ... guess who came to his rescue - his dad ... once he is in daddy's strong arms, it seems like a blanket of peace fell upon him ... he would look at his daddy and stopped crying ...
hmmm, at least there is someone who can comfort him ... BUT HEY! i am the one waking up to feed him and now, he just likes his daddy ... :P
same thing happened on sunday afternoon ... i guess he was feeling hot ... coz after papa carried him and put him on the bed with the wind blowing at him, he is ok ...
hmmm ... so now i need to read his cries more carefully - is it a cry of hunger, sleep or hot?
also, maybe it was something i ate that causes him to be so grouchy, can't fall a sleep ...
Sleeping Caleb
brought Caleb to church yesterday as papa kwee had to facilitate a session ...
baby caleb was sleepy but couldn't fall asleep on his own ...
so i had to put him in the sling and walked around for a while before he fell asleep ...
he is really a darling ... he slept from 3pm, woke up for his feeds ... during communion, father t blessed him and he fell back to sleep again ... and he continued sleeping all the way till 9pm ...
even after i put him back to bed, he continued to sleep, waking up for his feed ...
p.s with a baby like him, i dun mind having number 2 ... hahah but not so soon yet ... :P
He likes to look at his hand, especially when he is wearing this giraffe's mittens
Caleb at 2 months
Our little darling is 2 months old :) and I am going back to work ... hmmm, I am going to miss the days of doing nothing but just look/play with little Caleb and nuaing at my mum's house ...
here's caleb at 2 mths ... he has discovered the 'joy' of eating his fist(s)... but if he is hungry, he will still scream his head off to demand for food ... hahaha
his progress ...
hair is growing (esp the top part)
still want to seek attention - hates to be left alone (a while is ok but if any time longer than 10 mins, he will eh eh eh again)
diapers - sitll will eh eh eh/get grouchy and unable to take his morning nap ...
drinking - going haywire ... sometimes, one feed can take up to 3 hours ... my mum and i are keeping our fingers and toes crossed that he won't take after my eating/drinking habit (yes, i took a long long long time to chew my food and drink my milk ....)
night time - i will try to feed his last feed at 12 mn when he is sleeping ... think this is called dream feeding ... discovered this accidentally and realised that he can sleep till the next morning abt 5 am ... but becoz i am expressing milk, i need to be up at 4 plus to standby *bumpers... :P
more interactive now ... will 'talk back' when we talk to him :)
day time, sleep in his sarong ... night time, sleep in his cot ...
head is still flat on one side though ...
respond (smiling happily) to daddy when daddy carries him or look at him or call/talk to him ....
allows us to bath him when we take his top off ... :)
trying to eat his fist
smiling caleb
i think he is sooo handsome (haha)
Do we look alike?
My mum was going through our baby photos this morning and this is one of the photos we found .... Alike?
:P
Little Habits of Baby Caleb @ 6 Weeks Plus
quirky habits of baby caleb ...
he doesn't really like pacifier ... he prefers the REAL thing for now at least ...
he likes to sleep on one side of his head TILL that side of the head is FLAT while the other side is round (we are trying hard to correct this bad habit of his...)
he gets really impatient with his parents who are sometimes CLUELESS about what he wants ... (come on - eat is represented by eh, change diaper is represented by eh, sleep is also represented by eh) ... haha after a while, we sort of know (by elimination method!)
he sleeps while on car rides (just like mummy) - good for mummy who does not have to carry him :)
he listens attentively when daddy talks to him ... or will quieten down when daddy pat pat him ...
he does not like to drink warm water - so we just give him water from the kettle ...
when he knows that we are going out, he will insist that we change his diaper - even though we had changed it an hour ago and there is only little urine/little or no poo (it happened once!)
he smiles when we tickled his mouth ...
he sits up straight when we tickled his back ...
he still wakes up in the middle of the night for his feeds ... but he doesn't drink the full volume ... sometimes 2 oz, sometimes 3 ... we are still waiting for the day that he will sleep through the night ...
he wakes his parents up ... on the dot... at 730am ... without fail
he has a perfect sense of timing ... wakes up every 2 - 3 hourly ...
sometimes when he cries non-stop, offering him milk from the source soothes him and puts him to sleep :)
visit to the doc ...
Caleb is now 6 weeks old, 5.5kg and 58cm tall ...
Yesterday, we brought him for his 2nd hep B jab ... the doc first held on to his two little hands and he asked mama to hold on to him ... then he asked daddy to sing a song to distract baby caleb ... all these happened so fast and unsuspectingly, baby caleb was looking around, wondering why there are so many people hovering around him - 4 (doc, nurse, papa n mama) ... before he knew it, the jab was given to him on his right thigh ... he let out a loud cry ... wahhhh.... hmm, i got to carry him and pacify him ... thankfully, he still had some unfinished milk ... so that was used to comfort him ... ")
as he is still a bit yellow, doc suggested doing blood test to see if his liver is functioning properly ... as he mentioned that jaundice would usually clear up by the 4th week ... so after paying for the consultation etc, we proceeded to level 4 for his blood test ...
this time, the lady did not take 5 drops of blood but the took a little test tube of blood ... poor caleb was wailing his guts out each time she squeeze blood out from the back of this little right foot ... this time round, papa had stand by pacifier to console him ... he was wailing so loudly in the room that i think all the people outside could hear him ") ... thankfully, the pacificer managed to soothe him ... i put him back to his sarong sling and we proceed to visit doc. paul for my follow up ...
Caleb's Sleeping Position
Caleb kept sleeping on his right side till his head looks funny from the back – one side is flat while the other side is round …
So we are trying to find ways to let him sleep on a more balanced basis … friends recommended letting him sleep in Sarong, on his tummy or try alternating his head …
Yesterday, we let him sleep on his tummy but he didn really like it … today, we tried again … hmm, I do not think he likes it ….
Caleb lying on his tummy
A while later, his hands shifted
Two hands moved to support his head

2nd attempt at bathing baby caleb
This morning, my mum asked me if I want to try bathing baby caleb …. I couldn’t help but kept laughing. … my mum tot I had gone mad … haha
Actually I was feeling a bit lazy about bathing him as my right hand felt tired … from the entire night of feeding and from the morning walk even though I had the help of the sarong sling … yet I know that I cannot rely on my mum forever and I need to learn how to bath him ….
I suppose this is motherhood – taking care of your child even though you may feel tired or lazy … :P
Anyway, after yesterday’s trial I know what to do today …
Laughingly, I got his water ready – afraid that the water may turn cold by the time I got him ready, I prepared the water a bit warmer …
Then, remove his diaper and wipe his buttocks clean if there is any poo poo
Then, unbutton his shirt BUT DO NOT TAKE IT OFF or he will start to frown and cry his heart out … haha … so what I did was to warp his shirt on his shoulders like the big brother in Shanghai Beach … haha … since there are ribbons on his shirt (instead of buttons), I just tied the first ribbon so that it wont drop off when he is in the water. ..
First, I ‘brushed’ his teeth …then clean his face and neck …
Add his shampoo to the bath water and wash his head …so far he enjoyed washing his head …
Now we lowered him into the water and wash his buttocks, legs and feet …
Then sit him in the burp burp position to wash his back .. he enjoys this as well
Now, we flip him to wash his front … finally, we remove his mittens to wash his hands .. by now, he will be frowning and before we get him out from the water, we take off his shirt and quickly wrap him in his blanket … : ) by now, he is getting ready to cry .. haha
Dry his back and use the towel to cover this front – for me, covering his KKB is impt in case he gave me showers of blessing .. haha …
Finally – put his shirt on, and mittens, then diapers and footie mittens and the results – a clean and fresh baby caleb! : )
Stupid Auto Save
Stupid auto save functin ... i typed a long post on my 2nd attempt at bathing baby caleb and it was all gone!!!!!!!! argh!!!!!
Bathing and Outing with Caleb
I tried to bring baby down for a walk today using the baby sling ... still need for practice ... hopefully i can cope come sunday when we bring baby to church :)
Also, tried to bath baby ... he has a habit - do not take off his shirt while bathing him, else he will cry his heart out ... being first timer, i forgot to change his diaper out :P ... also, before i put him down to the water, i forgot to wash his head :p :P ... when the shirt came out, he was unhappy already and i had difficulty trying to catch hold of him ... haha
thankfully, grandma came to my rescue and managed to finish bathing him ...
haha
quite fun ... will try again tomorrow...

Sleepless in YT ...

Dear friends reading this, please remind me to tell my gynae abt it when I see him on the 19th ... in the meantime, trying to work round this sleep thingy and to stay positive...
"SLEEPING :
Often a depressed mother will have some form of sleeping difficulty. She may be awake until the early hours of the morning, or get no sleep at all. Some find that they sleep very fitfully and waken frequently, others that they wake in the early hours of the mrning with nightmares, and then cannot get back to sleep.
Many depressed mothers dread going to bed as their symptoms trouble them more at night. Indeed some mothers find insomnia one of the most distressing aspects of the illness. Often mothers are prescribed sleeping pills by their G.P. and find them ineffective even taken in large doses. This situation can cause the mother to feel quite desperate. If the depression is treated normal sleep will be restored.
The feeding requirements of a young baby do not help a mother who is having sleeping difficulties. It can be of great benefit if someone else can feed the baby at night." ~ Taken from a website...
Journey thus far ...
Yes .... mummy and baby kwee have finally progressed to week 40 :)
during this time, mummy and papa kwee had fought off ah tho, who had insisted that we delivered baby kwee by c-section on 21/6/2008 ... his reason is that baby kwee is in transverse lie position, mummy's placenta is low lying and the op is going to be dangerous and mummy has to go for c-section with GA! there goes all our desire for natural birth down the drain ...
even though mummy requested for time to think about it, ah tho said that he cannot wait ... duh!!!
thankfully, papa kwee insisted that we should seek a second opinion and hence, we went to see ah. paul ... ah paul is quite nice - he tried to turn baby kwee to a head down position - well, he went down but he came up again ...
on the next visit, we told ah paul that baby kwee has turned back and is still in transverse lie position ... ah paul kept quiet abt it but he is supportive ... he said, let's wait and see what happened ...
so, on the 38th week visit, we went back - baby kwee is still transverse and ah paul tried to turn him again ...and down he went but shortly later, he came up ... (I think baby kwee is trying to be funny here) ...
last week (week 39), we met ah paul again ... and i think he is 'disturbed' as to why baby kwee kept turning back to his usual position (hmm, from what i had gathered, babies after going through ECV - the process of turning him downwards - usually do not go back to their previous position unless there is some reason). he had earlier suggested that he turned the baby and then induced me but looking at how fast baby kwee turned back, i think we both know that this option is not viable and since we are nearing the 40 weeks and ah paul will be away from the 7th to 14th ... i think we both felt that it is best that we get him out via c-section... after all, i dun want to risk both our lives that my water bag burst before the contraction comes (implication is that the umbilical cord will drop out first)and get outselves into the unnecessary situation of an emergency delivery ...and ah paul not being around ...
but even though we are doing c-section, he is still supportive of natural birth ... coz he said we can do c-section with epidural so that papa kwee can participate in the labour process :)(hmmm, i think i will change my birth plan ...)
next up will be the date of the delivery ... he let me chose the day as he said he does operation every other day ... and so, we decided on 3/7/08 ... i guess it can't be a more perfect timing ... and on the 2/7/08, we arranged to have him take a look at baby kwee - yea, hoping that baby kwee will turn head down on 2/7/08 ... haha
hmm, do pray for us .... i am now getting into the seat of a roller coaster ride ... hahahaha
p.s i am happy that we had held on for so long ... hmm, the rest of the matters, i just leave it to God to guide us through ....
PUPPP
contrary to wat i had tot earlier, my PUPPP is still lurking around ... this time, it has taken another form ... instead of bubbly dots, what i am having now seems like a bad scar resulting from a fall :(
yesterday while taking an afternoon nap, i had scratched my left hand ... it now has a scar and now, on the same spot BUT on my right hand, it is starting to itch as well ...
seems like it will be symmetrical ... :(
will i be scarred for life???
Things to do before popping ...
1. clear my work ... (heh, i am not banking on clearing it 100% but at least some of it...)
2. take leave and go for high tea
3. pedicure ... prob this sunday :)
4. watch sex and the city ... have not stepped into a cinema in a loong time
5. eat pop corn while watching sex and the city (ya, blame it on the radio i was listening to which kept talking abt pop corn)
6. go ikea ... and have meat balls, hot dog buns ... wahaha ...
... hmmm, can't think of any more at the moment ...
Clearing up
Yea ... some good news ... my PUPPP is clearing up ... at least I am not scratching myself all red and I am not applying the cream twice a day ...
still feel the itch on my ankles and legs sometimes ... but not that much of an outbreak now .....
the scars are still visible though ....
hmmm, hope they will disappear soon ... :)
35 weeks ...
35 weeks and Baby Caleb is still not engaged.
Ah Tho said I may need a C-Section. :( Told me that the date would tentatively be set on 21/6/2008.
hmmm, not very happy coz he did not explain why baby's head is not turning... he is not giving me explanations to convince me why i should go for c-section ... what happens in my next pregnancy - c-section again? (ok, thinking too far ahead here ...) but he should at least explain and set my heart at ease as to why I must undergo C-section ...
haiz..... going to sleep
Girl or Boy
after seeing ah tho, i was hanging out with my mum and dad at the market while waiting for the nurses to give me my appointment ...
along the way, a lot of aunties commented ... wa ... so big already .... must be a girl ....
out of ten, i think 9 said that baby kwee is a girl ...
hmm, i dunno ... girl or boy, healthy can liao ...
but based on what ah tho had said, baby kwee is a boy ... wahahaa and the names we had in mind are all boy-related ... hahaha
Scratch, scratch, scratch
scratch, scratch
scratch, scratch, scratch ...
oei, stop scratching ...
OUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
hmmm the itch has gotten worse and it is now all over my body ...
wanted to just buy some cream from Ah Tho ... but he said better come down and let him see ....
went to let him see ... this time, he did a more thorough examination and mentioned that the nature of these itch seems different from the original ...
thus he recommended me to go to the National Skin Centre to do a check ...
he told the nurses to get me the earliest appointment ... and so ... the earliest will be later this afternoon...
hmmm, that's super fast ...
Mama @ 34 weeks
attended a mind-boggling session with Pat on natural childbirth ...
so much to learn and so much to understand what the mum and baby are going through the childbirth ...
towards the end of the session, i was looking forward to the arrival of caleb ...
just finished drafting my birth plan .... waiting for my ah lau to go through before sending it to Pat and discussing it with Ah Toh ...
hopefully, ah Toh will be receptive to this ... keeping fingers crossed. ...
on saturday, we went for our usual routine scan .... head is still not engaged ... ah Toh mentioned abt giving him two more weeks to turn his head .... caleb ah, please turn your head ok?
Hmm, my rashes got quite bad .... the stretch marks are still there but they do not look so angry now. Rashes now peppered my hands, arms, bums, legs etc ... ah lau got to put on the cream for me and my GP recommended me to put on powder after i put on the cream so as to 'abosrb sweat' ...
Hmm, hope that these rashes will clear up sooooooon ...
32 weeks and PUPPP!!!
Into my last leg of the pregnancy and was looking forward to popping until the rashes invaded my tummy....
and it is super itchy ... the more i scratch, the redder and 'angrier' it will get...
saw my gynae ... he just said that my skin is inflamed and prescribed me with a cream ...
need to follow up with him a week later ..
it has been two days but the itch is still there .... damn irritating!!!
hmmm ... did my own research and it seems like i have gotten a case of PUPPP .... yea, try googling for it ... there are photos to look at as well ...
hmmm hope it will clear up soooon .......
Support Group (?)
Attended a church meeting today ...
organised by Fr. T for all the couples that he had helped to solomenise ...
we didn't know what to expect but i just told dearie to attend and maybe there is something in store for us ... something that we can journey together ...
hmmm, the meeting turned out well ... seems like God has answered my prayers ...
here, i met two other couples ... one has a lovely 14 mth old girl and another with a 2 mth old baby girl ...
they shared generously with us on what they went through - horrible confinement nanny, breastfeeding, where to attend class etc ... where to get the malay massage lady ... birthing ... baby slings ... ahaha... really, my angels ...
one interesting link ... www.birthright.com.sg
Six going onto Seven
Went for my check up yesterday ...
Told doc about the cramps that i had felt during the week and one particular night when my tummy felt really tensed ...
he mentioned that those are contractions ... he checked my tummy ... he said it felt tight ... (ya ... on a saturday morning, after my porridge) ...
he said i need an injection and some medicine to loosen the muscles in the uterus ...
i was concerned ... would the injection be painful? hahaha
more importantly, i asked him what is the cause of the tensed muscles ... he said it could be due to stress ...
advised me to rest more and not moved about so much ...
also, i asked him if babykwee is still a boy - hahaha ... yup ... babykwee is still a boy ... babykee weighs about 900+gram while mummy is about 66.6kg ...
The meaning. . .
The boy's name Caleb \c(a)-leb\ is pronounced KAY-leb. It is of Hebrew origin, and its meaning is "dog". Biblical: Caleb, a companion of Moses and Joshua, was noted for his astute powers of observation and fearlessness in the face of overwhelming odds; his devotion to God is symbolized by the "dog" in some traditions. The boy's name Oliver \o-li-ver\ is pronounced AH-lih-ver. It is of Latin origin, and its meaning is "olive tree". Name of one of Charlemagne's knights in the 12th-century poem "Chanson de Roland". Baby Kwee @ 22 weeks
Had my detailed scan on 26/2/2008 … a Tuesday morning
Prior to this scan, I thought that the doc will need to use a special equipment to do the scan as we were told that we can only do this scan on a weekday …
It turns out that a weekday is a better day to do the scan as there will be less patient at the clinic and Dr. Tho can take his time to show us and check through baby kwee’s development …
He started with the head, taking measurements, showing the face – especially the mouth to make sure that there is no cleft lips, where the eyes would be. He just moved the ‘mouse’ over my tummy to show us different parts of baby kwee …
For me, I just followed what he said coz some of the parts do not look so clear to me…. But dearie, he can follow and even ask the doc questions – is this blah blah blah …
I asked him, how can you tell? He replied – you just need to be a little more observant and with a bit of imagination, you can tell … OK … implying that I do not have both traits…
Scanning through baby kwee’s hands and legs, Dr. Tho said is a rather cool tone – did I tell you that it is a boy?
Duh … both me and dearie went silent … didn we say that we want to be kept in the dark? Hahaha
Anyway, it is good to know the gender of baby kwee – so that we can start thinking of names :)
At the end of the scan, ah Tho said that all is well … and baby kwee weighs about 500gm … yup – 500gm at about 22 weeks.
p.s oh yes, baby kwee was very active when Dr. Tho was doing the scan. i can feel him moving inside me... probably he knows what was going one ... haha
Baby Kwee
ever since we know that the little baby inside me is a boy ... we, or at least, papa has been thinking about names...
so far, on the list ...
1. oliver
2. caleb ...
3. cohen (by mama) hahaha
nothing is firmed yet ... we are still thinking (am i?) hahaha...
i am thinking - who to ask to be the godparent(s) ...
21 weeks ...
Going into the 5th mth of being preggie … so far so good …
I have felt the baby’s movement during the CNY week …. Er, that is about week 19 : ) just light tremors for mum to feel baby inside …. Nothing dramatic yet … so papa can only asked – bb kicked you? Ahaha… that is something that men dun get it. :P
Craving-wise, nothing very strong … just an occasional craving for scissor rice, nuts and 100-plus … noticed that my food intake changed as well … I like my food a little spicy …
Hmmm, a long list of things waiting to be done …
1.get a confinement nanny …. Didn’t want to get one initially but after thinking through and asking around, I think we better get one …. But from where?
2.baby stuff – stroller, pumps etc, baby’s room … all UNDONE! And what the only thing I thought of doing is to do a cross-stitch for baby’s room … hahahaha
3.baby’s name … so far, no inspiration yet ..
4.baby’s godparent … so far, no inspiration yet …
5.there is probably a long list of things waiting to be done and it’s just that we have not realized it … :P
